Candy Santa Sleigh Favors

I am sure you’ve seen variations of these candy Santa sleighs over the years, but incase you haven’t, I thought I’d share this easy favor you can make for upcoming holiday festivities!

First, pick out your candy. You need a flat candy bar for the sleigh, candy canes for the runners, some version of a “Santa” and some kind of goodies to stuff in his bag.

I happened to have these little mesh baggies that I have saved over the years. I thought they would make perfect little Santa bags. You can get them at any craft store.

I chose this particular candy bar because of the cardboard exterior, which I thought would hold up good to dabs of hot glue. Even though theres potential for the hot glue to melt the chocolate here and there, it is preferred since it dries instantly. To use a regular tacky glue would be messy and time-consuming.

I used two dots of hot glue on each candy cane and some tape for extra security.

Next, fill the sacks with some kind of candy goodie. Use a dab of hot glue to stick them to the sleigh. Once dried, use a bit more glue to prop up your Santa. A dab on the bottom of his feet and the back of his legs was plenty to hold him in place.

Then, embellish as much as you’d like. I added some small bows and tags.

Aren’t they so cute?! ❤ I’ve seen other ones where you stack mini candy bars on the back to create a mountain of “gifts” on the sleigh…so there are options if you don’t wanna use the little baggies.

Happy Holidays to all my fellow crafters! Hope you are enjoying the season! 🙂

Thank you! Love this idea and thinking could be used to put a gift card in Santa’s bag.
